Tania brings extensive experience in designing and leading large-scale retrofit programmes across the UK, including the Green Homes Grant and Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF), as well as the upcoming Warm Homes Social Housing Fund. Alongside her role at Lewisham, she also serves as Chair of Association of Local Energy Officers (ALEO) for London and Policy Co-Lead at Don’t Waste Buildings, helping shape the national conversation around local energy and sustainable housing.
At our May session, Tania will share a local authority perspective on residential decarbonisation – covering themes such as energy strategy missteps, the presumption of retrofit, and why regulation should be viewed as a starting point rather than the end goal. Her talk will highlight the importance of retaining existing buildings and factoring long-term operational impact into planning decisions.
Tania will be joining a panel that also features Jonathan Buckwell, Director of DHA Planning, and Duncan Enright, Account Director at The Community Communications Partnership.
