Sustainable Workspaces at County Hall: A New Model for Low-Carbon Retrofit

Hosted by: Material Works Architecture & Sustainable Ventures

Discover a Landmark Reimagined for Climate Innovation

Join Don't Waste Buildings for a unique event that showcases the transformation of County Hall, one of London’s most iconic Grade II* listed buildings, into a dynamic hub for climate tech pioneers.

Now featuring Sustainable Workspaces, this 3,600 sqm retrofit project by Material Works Architecture sets a new standard for low-carbon design and adaptive reuse.

Commissioned by Sustainable Ventures, the UK’s leading ecosystem for sustainable start-ups, the space has been thoughtfully reconfigured to promote innovation, collaboration, and growth, whilst saving over 1,150 tonnes of embodied carbon compared to a conventional office fit-out.
