Join us at this year’s Retrofit Live, hosted by The Architects’ Journal, where we will be hosting a workshop utilising our new AI tool, ChatDWB, kindly supported by OmniChat.uk.
We will be running two sessions:
11:00-12:30 – Policy, Finance, and the Future of Empty Buildings
Leanne Tritton and Richard Nelson will be running a workshop exploring how government policy and financial instruments can better incentivise adaptive reuse. Drawing on case studies from the UK and abroad, and early findings from AI-powered research into VAT and taxation, participants will discuss practical steps to scale up reuse and avoid unnecessary demolition.
13:50-14:10 – Scaling Adaptive Reuse: Key Takeaways from the Workshop
Leanne and Richard will give a recap of the Don’t Waste Buildings workshop, highlighting practical insights on how policy and financial levers can support adaptive reuse. Learn the key barriers identified and potential solutions to bring empty buildings back into productive use.
And of course, Will Hurst, as Managing Editor of AJ, will be opening and closing the conference proceedings, as well as participating throughout the day.
Please join us! We have a few free passes available, so please contact us if you’d like to attend.
