DWB Launches East Chapter

Don't Waste Buildings is thrilled to welcome Aoife O'Gorman, Director at BCR-Infinity Architects, as our new East Chapter Lead.

Aoife is an Architect and certified Passivhaus Designer with over 25 years of experience putting low-carbon, whole-life thinking at the heart of her practice. In short: she's exactly our kind of person!

Based in the East of England, Aoife knows the region's built environment inside out — and she's already deeply embedded in it. As Chair of RIBA Eastern Region, a committee member of the Suffolk Joint Constructive Committee, and Vice Chair of Bury St Edmunds Town Trust, she has been hands-on in restoring and repurposing historic buildings and championing the skills needed to do it well.

But it's not just about today's buildings. Aoife is passionate about inspiring the next generation of construction professionals — equipping them with the knowledge and ambition to preserve, improve and sustainably adapt the buildings we already have.

Because that's the whole point, isn't it? We don't need to tear down. We need to wise up.
